File Setup Guide for DTF Printing
Use these guidelines when uploading your artwork:
1. File Format & Quality
- Upload files as PNG (preferred), TIFF, or PSD with a transparent background.
- Ensure your design is at 300 DPI resolution for sharp, high-quality prints.
- Use RGB color mode—our system will handle color conversion for printing.
2. Background & Transparency
- Your design must have a transparent background—no white boxes or stray pixels.
- Avoid semi-transparent elements, as DTF does not print soft fades well.
3. Colors & Black Ink
- Use vibrant colors, as DTF printing enhances saturation.
- For deep, true black, use C:30, M:30, Y:30, K:100 instead of default black.
- We automatically add a white underbase for bright, opaque colors on dark fabrics.
4. Fine Details & Gradients
- Avoid small, thin text or fine details under 2pt thickness, as they may not print well.
- If your design includes gradients, use a halftone pattern instead of fading to transparency.
5. Design Size & Placement
- Submit your file at the exact print size you need—resizing may affect quality.
- If your design has overlapping colors, consider using knockouts to prevent excessive ink buildup, which can lead to thicker, uneven prints.
